My partners ancestors are the Mackeson Family of the Hythe Brewery, his 5 x great grandfather was William Mackeson, whom, together with his brother Henry, acquired the Brewery in your lovely town of Hythe in 1801. During my journey of research, I have been unable to find any information on our William Mackeson, for his life and or his involvement with the Brewery. William's 2xgreats grandson Henry Charles Joseph Mackeson, immigrated to Australia in the early 1920's.Henry C J , had: 8 xChildren, 15 x g/child,21xg/gchild, & 3xgg g/child all living here in Australia. We are from NSW Australia and would love to hear from anyone that has any information on William Mackeson, and/or any of his descendants, especially his son, Henry Scrope Mackeson, any information on The Hythe Mackeson Brewery during the years of 1801-1920 especially to do with William. I thank you all for your time reading my request and hope to hear from you soon. Regards Pamela Griggs. NSW Australia.
We would just like to say how much we have enjoyed our summer stay in Hythe as a result of seeing it on this website. We look forward to returning in the future. Wendler Family. Capetown S.A.
Hi Bob How refreshing to see a town information site so different from the norm. Keep up the good work and we'll be visiting Hythe in the Summer. Linda Thorssen - NSW Ozzie
